My work takes as its starting point the possibility of communicating a philosophical, social or political thesis through linguistic, declarative and evocative works. In the process of creation I use notes and reading notes in a schematic way to designate the artistic projects to be developed, in such a way that my work becomes a method of literary dissemination. I am interested in exploring pictorial materials and playing with the space of the canvas through form, colour and line. The air in the composition plays a very important role in my works, it is both a space that determines, as well as a space of silence, clarity, confusion, repetition, dreaming, or denial.

The style that characterises me can be defined as non- figurative art. My most significant pictorial influences are to be found in geometric abstraction, action painting, abstract expressionism, informalism and post-pictorial abstraction. In the last two years I have developed a theme that has intrigued me throughout my life «The determination and autonomy of the human condition», as a product of this research in the most recent pieces I am interested in showing the tension between the determined and the indeterminate, the spontaneous and the planned, the accidental and the directed, the instinctive and the conscious in the subject.

I studied a degree in Philosophy at the University of Guadalajara (2009-2015), where I received my main training in aesthetics, art history and philosophy of art. My education in pictorial practice has been self-taught. In 2018 I was selected in the October Salon, in 2019 I was selected in the biennial of painting Lumen. I am currently studying a master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Theory. I live and work in the city of Guadalajara.

Mi trabajo toma como punto de partida la posibilidad de comunicar una tesis filosófica, social o política a través de obras lingüísticas, declarativas y evocadoras. En el proceso de creación utilizo notas y apuntes de lecturas de forma esquemática para designar los proyectos artísticos a desarrollar, de tal forma que mi obra se convierte en un método de divulgación literaria. Me interesa la exploración con los materiales pictóricos y el juego en el espacio del lienzo por medio de la forma, el color y la línea. El aire en la composición tiene un papel muy importante en mis obras, es tanto un espacio que determina, como también un espacio de silencio, de claridad, de confusión, de repetición, de ensoñación, o de negación.

El estilo que me caracteriza puede ser definido como arte no figurativo. Mis influencias pictóricas más significativas se encuentran en la abstracción geométrica, el action painting, el expresionismo abstracto, el informalismo y en la abstracción postpictórica. En los dos últimos años he desarrollado un tema que me ha intrigado en el transcurso de mi vida “La determinación y la autonomía de la condición humana”, como producto de esa investigación en las piezas más recientes me interesa mostrar la tensión entre lo determinado y lo indeterminado, lo espontaneo y lo planeado, lo accidental y lo dirigido, lo instintivo y lo consciente en el sujeto.

Estudié la licenciatura en Filosofía en la Universidad de Guadalajara (2009-2015), donde recibí mi principal formación en estética, historia del arte y filosofía del arte. Mi educación en la práctica pictórica se ha formado de manera autodidacta. En el año 2018 fui seleccionado en el Salón de Octubre, en el 2019 fui seleccionado en la bienal de pintura Lumen. Actualmente estudio una maestría en Teoría Psicoanalítica. Vivo y trabajo en la ciudad de Guadalajara.
